Bucks Fizz with ‘Making Your Mind Up’. The UK has won the contest 5 times and been runner-up 15 times. Only Ireland (7) and Sweden (6) have won it more times. The UK has been placed bottom on 3 occasions with Jemini receiving the dreaded nul points in 2003.
Ten-year gilt yields are now 0.80%. They were 0.13% on 3 April 2020. They reached a low of 0.08% on 3 August – ten times lower than they are today. The sharp sell-off reflects growing concern over rising inflation. Meanwhile, the FTSE 100 has risen from 5415 a year ago to 6737 on Thursday (+24.41%).
In total there are 3,170 golf courses in the UK of which 2,270 are in England, 614 in Scotland, 186 in Wales and 100 in Northern Ireland. There are a similar number in Japan. Otherwise, only the US have more with 16,752. We don’t know exactly how many property investment managers play golf in the UK but we do know that the team at St Bride’s Managers are very happy (Easter) bunnies!
